History
Galbiati & Colombo, founded by Sergio Galbiati in 1964, and began life manufacturing small and medium quantities of turned parts, used mainly for taps, furniture and general mechanics.
- When the headquarters moved to Molteno in 1966, bar passage machines up to 60 mm were introduced as well as Swiss-type lathe machines. A new department was set up for carrying out secondary turning such as: milling, rolling, threading, tapping, as well as transfer machines to manufacture particular parts for the household appliance industry.
- In 1985 our head office expanded and we further added to our fleet of machinery by introducing multi-spindle and numerically controlled machines.
- In 1990, we again expanded our head office and new twin-spindle CNC machines were introduced. Also by constructing our new commercial offices as well as a specific area for storing and managing raw materials, we reached the current area of about 4,000 sqm of which 1,700 sqm is being used by 25 members of staff.
This allows us to offer a complete range of products and to be able to target all markets. This same revenue is what reflects the new international scope of the company which has about 50% foreign customers. The following companies are among our clients: Stanley Black & Decker, Stihl, Braking-Sunstar, Stihl Group, Viking, Bufab, Konig-Thule etc.
